Description in Detail

The family comes first… this has been for years the spirit and soul which the current owners have run this beautiful winery. You can taste in their wines stories and love from another era in the wine’s simplicity and sincerity compositions.

Tenuta Chianti is a notable family business in one of the best wine regions in the world, in the Chianti Classico rolling hills. The estate is a real charm with all buildings, wine business tools, equipment, and country houses to have the Tuscan dream of owning and running one’s own wine business and resort. The estate measures around 44 hectares with 16 hectares of Chianti Classico DOCG vineyards. The property includes over 22 hectares of forest, arable land, and uncultivated pastures. Of course, the estate would not be complete without about 6 hectares of olive groves and a lovely swimming pool offering you some astonishing views of the Chianti countryside.

The renovated charming 18th-century barn on the estate is now utilized for the winemaking cellar. There is a historic wine cellar dating back to the 1400s which is now used for the aging of wines with 105 barriques of 225 liters and 8 tonneaus of 500 liters. The original characteristics of these buildings were kept intact while renovating the space to make it functional for modern winemaking techniques. The 2010 renovated wine cellar currently has now 20 steel vats, 120 French barrels, and 8 round.

The winery currently produces Chianti Classico DOCG and Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva. The vineyards contain Sangiovese, Colorino, Canaiolo, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties. There are about 800 olive trees and currently, the estate produces a high-quality extra virgin Olive Oil with Frantoio, Leccino, and Morinello olive varieties.

Tenuta Chianti includes apartments designed for tourism to allow guests to enjoy the Tuscan countryside in the best and only way in historical buildings renovated exquisitely to keep the Tuscan characteristics like terracotta flooring, stone walls, and wooden-beamed ceilings without giving up any modern comforts.

The main villa dates back to the 15th century from Florentine nobility and measures 540 m2. It includes two spacious living rooms, a kitchen, a dining room with a traditional fireplace, 4 bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms. There is a stunning courtyard from the Renaissance period with a large garden that offers awe-inspiring sunsets over the Chianti Classico hills and vineyards.

Just next to the main villa there is another building measuring 225 m2 where there are office spaces, storage rooms, and a wine cellar on the ground floor. On the first floor, there is an apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Detached from the main villa there is another building that measures 275 m2 which includes another storage room and another apartment with 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. Connected to this building there is an agricultural shed, measuring 140 m2.

Tenuta Chianti includes another renovated country home, measuring 340 m2, currently occupied by the owners and management personnel. The main apartment consists of an inviting entrance hall, a cozy living room, a kitchen, a dining room, 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. In the second apartment, there is a kitchen, a living room with a dining room, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom.

There is a refreshing swimming pool in the garden offering panoramic views and each apartment has its own personal gazebo with chairs, tables, and sunbeds to enjoy poolside and countryside relaxing days.
